Terms of Use
Terms and conditions governing the use of SecurityProviders.com.au, commercial quote facilitation, independent directory neutrality, mandatory hirer due diligence, and limitation of liability under Australian law.
Essential Summary for Commercial Hirers & Security Providers
SecurityProviders.com.au is an independent commercial directory and search index. We connect Australian commercial clients with licensed protective security providers, but we do not supply guards or security services directly.
Commercial Hirer Mandate: While our editorial team audits corporate Master Licences and ABN credentials against statutory registers, commercial hirers and procurement teams remain strictly responsible for confirming current state Master Licence standing, individual guard qualifications, and minimum $20M Public Liability insurance prior to contract execution.
Agreement to Terms and Platform Scope
Welcome to SecurityProviders.com.au ("the Site", "the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing, browsing, submitting commercial inquiries, requesting call backs, claiming a company profile, or utilizing directory features on the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Editorial Standards.
If you do not agree to these Terms of Use in their entirety, you must immediately cease accessing or using this directory. These terms apply to all individuals, commercial hirers, facility managers, business owners, and corporate representatives accessing our services.
- Legal Capacity: You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into these terms on behalf of yourself or the business organization you represent.
- Corporate Authorization: Any individual acting on behalf of a company or statutory entity confirms they have full corporate delegation to bind that entity to these conditions.
Directory Nature, Independence & Neutrality
SecurityProviders.com.au operates an independent commercial index, marketing directory, and market transparency platform for licensed security guard companies and electronic monitoring providers across Australia.
We are NOT an employer of security guards, labour-hire agency, security contractor, broker, or statutory police licensing authority. We do not provide physical guarding personnel, mobile patrol vehicles, canine units, or cash-in-transit services ourselves, nor do we act as an agent, partner, or joint venturer for any listed provider.
The inclusion of a security contractor on this directory does not constitute an express endorsement, legal guarantee, warranty, or accreditation by SecurityProviders.com.au of that company's operational performance, continuous solvency, service standard, or quote pricing.
Accuracy of Information & Mandatory Hirer Due Diligence
While our editorial and compliance team takes systematic measures to verify corporate Master Security Licences, Australian Business Numbers (ABN), and physical office tenancies against statutory state registers:
- Public Records at Date of Review: Directory listings and badges reflect public records audited at the date of review and do not constitute real-time regulatory status. State licensing registers are subject to periodic administrative suspension, renewal processing, variations, or expiry.
- Mandatory Hirer Due Diligence: Commercial hirers, procurement teams, body corporates, and event organizers are solely responsible for conducting independent regulatory due diligence prior to executing any commercial contract. Hirers must independently confirm current Master Licence standing, individual guard qualifications (e.g. Class 1A unarmed vs Class 1C crowd control), current workers' compensation insurance, and minimum $20M Public Liability insurance.

User-Submitted Content, Reviews & Directory Ratings
Users who submit reviews, ratings, inquiries, or feedback agree to provide authentic, factual accounts of genuine commercial interactions. By publishing feedback, you warrant that:
- Authentic Interaction: You or your organization have directly engaged, contracted, or formally evaluated the security contractor you are reviewing;
- Conflict of Interest Bar: You are not an owner, employee, subcontractor, family relation, or direct business competitor of the provider being evaluated;
- Commercial Bribery Prohibition: You have not received any monetary compensation, discounts, gifts, or inducements to submit positive or negative reviews;
- Objective Ranking Guarantee: Directory rankings are calculated deterministically using an objective 5-pillar mathematical model (Bayesian review smoothing, engagement popularity, credential completeness, licence verification, and freshness). Rankings cannot be bought, boosted, or manipulated via paid advertising.
SecurityProviders.com.au reserves the right to audit, moderate, or remove reviews that violate Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010), contain defamatory remarks, or exhibit fraudulent bot patterns.
Free Profile Claiming & Authorized Representative Warranty
Licensed Australian security companies indexed on our directory may claim profile custody 100% free of charge. We believe verified businesses should have unhindered access to manage their profile accuracy, operational services, and commercial inquiries.
- Authority Warranty: Any individual submitting an ownership claim expressly warrants that they are a director, corporate officer, compliance manager, or authorized legal representative of the business.
- Manual Human Verification: All claims undergo thorough human review by compliance specialists. Claimant authority is verified through company domain email matching (e.g.
@company.com.au), ASIC director register extracts, or formal authorization on corporate letterhead. - Fraudulent Claiming Prohibited: Impersonating a security company officer or attempting unauthorized takeover of a competitor profile is a severe breach of these terms and may be referred to state police authorities and ASIC.
